This new article showcases how the DRCF’s work benefits regulators, government, industry and wider stakeholders.
Our external publications and engagement have influenced digital markets and improved the clarity of regulators’ expectations. Stakeholders recognise the value of our joint publications on topics such as harmful online choice architecture, which have helped firms improve outcomes for consumers.
Our shared expertise has supported timely and cost-effective delivery; for example, in setting up the DRCF AI and Digital Hub, the CMA and Ofcom were able to draw on the extensive experience of the FCA and ICO in supporting innovators through their regulatory sandboxes and advisory services. This ambitious one-year pilot service helps unlock innovation and supports UK economic growth.
Internationally, the DRCF is a positive example of digital regulatory cooperation and is inspiring similar models, while acting as a vehicle for greater UK cooperation with international counterparts.
We are keen to hear from stakeholders about the impact of the DRCF’s work and the approaches we can take to assess it. Please contact drcf@ofcom.org.uk and share your views.
