Who we are and why it matters to innovators
The Digital Regulation cooperation Forum (DRCF) brings together four major UK digital regulators
- ICO – Information Commissioner’s Office
- CMA – Competition and Markets Authority
- Ofcom – Communications Regulator
- FCA – Financial Conduct Authority
We exist to make digital regulation clearer and simpler to navigate by coordinating across our four members to achieve better outcomes for industry and consumers.
What’s new and exciting at DRCF?
- Digital Regulatory Library (Prototype): We’re building a one-stop-shop digital library for regulatory guidance. Backed by £800,000 funding, this prototype will unify rules and guidance from DRCF Member Regulators into a single, user-friendly platform, designed with innovators in mind.
- Thematic Innovation Hub starting with “Agentic AI”: Our recently launched hub provides targeted engagement for emerging tech innovators. The first theme is Agentic AI – AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making and initiating actions without direct human prompts. More themes will follow.
What’s next, and how to join
We’re looking for innovators to participate in user research sessions for the Digital Regulatory Library.
Participating in DRCF’s research sessions or consultations can offer real, tangible benefits:
- Influence regulation: Your feedback may shape the evolvement of regulation in digital markets.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Gain early insight into regulatory priorities to support your own products and compliance strategies.
- Connect and collaborate: Join sessions with regulators, innovators, academics, and industry experts. Build networks, share ideas, and learn from peers.
- Reduce friction for innovation: Help us design tools that make regulation clearer and faster to navigate so you can focus on building.
In short, this is a chance to help shape practical, accessible digital regulation and ensure your needs and perspectives are heard.
